My work explores my experiences of living by the coast. I have grown up with a strong connection to the sea and the coastline. My father was a coastguard and my mother worked briefly for the Met Office, so I was observing the coast and weather from a young age, and I carry those landscapes with me. Having been a sailor throughout my life since early childhood, I believe this has added to my love of the sea.
